Who is Erika Perry and why was she labelled 'Karen'?
AMERICAN Idol contestant Erika Perry terrified judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan when she had a meltdown after being eliminated.
The singing hopeful was cut on the March 21, 2021 episode and afterwards, she furiously demanded to "speak to the manager" in disbelief she didn't make it through.

After Erika was eliminated, she asked if the judges if they were "sure" repeatedly before going in to a panic.
"I'm trying to not have an actual b***h fit because I can get angry and sassy real quick," she yelled backstage.
She then approached a producer and asked: "Who's in charge of this? I'd like to speak to the manager.

"I've been nice for years but I'm tired of being this nice college girl. No! I am done being nice!"
Erika concluded her rant screaming: "I'm a lunatic! Why do you think my ex dumped me? I'm a lunatic I will go f**king psycho!"
Country crooner Luke appeared terrified, and looked over at Lionel who was sitting closest to Erika as she walked out of the theatre.
Fans slammed the antics on Twitter, with one writing: "Wth Erika making a scene. She's gone Karen on American Idol. She want to see the manager."
Was Claudia Conway on American Idol?
Claudia Conway, the daughter of Kellyanne Conway who served as counselor to former President Donald Trump, did appear on this season's American Idol before being voted off.
Claudia stunned her Twitter fans on social media when she announced she had auditioned for American Idol.
The popular Tiktoker posted a series of tweets claiming that she loved singing and her running was not a publicity stunt.
She wrote: "hi also a lot of people think that my being on american idol is a publicity stunt but i can promise you it is not," Conway tweeted."i have been vocally trained and in music for most of my life and did this on my own merit :)"

Who are the judges for season 20?
American Idol will return with the same judging line up since 2016.
The show's judges are a trio audiences have come to know and love: Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.

"Katy, Lionel and Luke are fun, astute and really know how to spot talent," said executive producer and showrunner Trish Kinane on the return of the three judges.
"Their chemistry is undeniable, and we are delighted that they, along with host Ryan Seacrest, are returning to find the next superstar and take American Idol to new heights next season."
Ryan Seacrest, who has fronted the show since it's inception in 2002, will return as host.
